Abstract
Three simple, sensitive, selective and accurate Spectrophotometric methods (M1 to M3) for the determination of Ziprasidone Hydrochloride (ZPD.HCl) in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulations (tablets) have been described. Three individual methods are based on the charge transfer complex formation (M1), Inner salt formation (M2) and Precipitation/complex formation reaction (M3) of drug with different reagents to form colored chromogens exhibiting lmax 540 (M1), 580 (M2) and 470 (M3) nm respectively. The results of analysis for the three methods have been validated statistically and by recovery studies. The results are compared with those obtained using UV Spectrophotometric method in isopropyl alcohol at 229 nm.
